The aim of the course is to provide students with the necessary knowledge about the growth and production of ornamental plants (herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees) and how to use them in green spaces. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to distinguish a large number of ornamental plant species, indicate the size and shape, flowering season and cultural requirements of the most important ornamental plant species, describe the growth and ornamental value of the most important ornamental plant species, combine different ornamental plant species and select the appropriate ornamental plant species to be used in a horticultural construction.
